I got this in the mail today!!  Gatorade Endurance (for riding), Endurox R4 (for after my long training sessions), Endurox Restore (for recovery after my shorter training sessions), and some new HOT PINK (wow) compression socks by CEP (as seen on Hillary Biscay )

I’ve been a HUGE fan of Endurox R4 for a few years now.  I was having a lot of trouble after long rides and runs (even getting through the rest of my day).  I discovered Endurox R4 on semi-accident and have never looked back.  I honestly noticed a huge difference in how quickly I would recover after my long training sessions.

I’m pretty excited to try the Endurox Restore, it has about half the carbs and calories of the R4 formula but the same protein/carb ratio to help you recover after shorter sessions. I chose lemonade flavor, and I hope it’s good.

Gatorade Endurance is an old classic favorite of course, but it’s also what they use on the Ironman race course and that’s really why I chose it.  I don’t see any point in training with something I’m not going to have easy access to on race day.

The CEP socks are also a trial item, but they are CUTE no matter how functional they are.  I started wearing compression socks as soon as I became a nurse.  You wouldn’t believe what a  12 hour day can do to a girl’s feet and legs.  I loved how compression socks made me feel, my feet didn’t get swollen and my legs felt more fresh after work (an absolute necessity if you have to train after work).  I bought my first pair of athletic compression socks last year from ZOOT, they are amazing!  I just wore them to work the other day and then for 7 miles on the treadmill right after.  FANTASTIC! That may even have been the night I ordered these pink ones.  It’s exciting and important to feel good and look good while training.  I hope the PINKs can live up to the ZOOTs I’ll be sure to let you know.  They’ll probably go on their first run this weekend with me.
